well after the last update, sure!
who will leave broken head, will not be the exodus.
ever seen how fast it eliminates the balls?
Now talking seriously, I think it was impossible, not with three or four players.

I rather suspected that the removal of those would make it nearly impossible for small groups, so much so that since the publish I decided not to go there till others reported on it. It will be interesting to read the experiences of others, when I have been it has been in groups of 3 or 4 so I guess we wont be going . It seems it wasnt particularly broken but they've fixed it anyway.

Well from his side he could equally cast spells back. Why is using balls worse than the players with pet archers who stand on the ledge in Despise and simply wait till Andros is dead?. No risk whatsoever AND he cant fight back. Nothing has been done about that!

perhaps with several sampires, is possible. with archers and throwings, does not help because of his great speed; he is faster than paragons, well maybe is a good idea to use sampires, i will try

Err, you blocked his movement? Sorry, Exodus is such an easy fight - such tricks are not necessary

Exodus can be done with smaller numbers without blocking.

Those who say he's easy are exaggerating for the purposes of bragging.

But I will tell you that I have surely fought him in small groups, as a non-Sampire warrior, without dying. (Though a death or two is the more-common outcome, deathless Exodus runs even on a warrior are possible.)

I've never personally seen though I have heard of the blocking technique.

1 sampire with 2 bards can do exodus really easily, yes easily I said it you just have to know how to do it, for Andros tho, I think this is exploiting at limit. Yes you cant tame and release pet in locations that cant be seen by bosses, so why you can use Archers despise pets in the same way?

2 archers and 2 mystics have no trouble at all with exodus.... if idiots wouldn't run all over hell and back and you keep him fielded and keep the RC's on him at all times it's not that bad....

We did Exodus alone without bag balls or anything, tamer with a GD, necro mage for extra heals and thrower for more damage and we got it done pretty fast. Probably faster than some bigger groups, just depends on the players

Seriously? I've never done him with a group larger than five, and it is normally 3-4. Seriously, thinking bagging him in wasn't an exploit is silly. I'll clue you on on the way to do him easily Bobar.....get 3-4 mystic/weaver/mage templates in a party. Go visit him. Get para fields up and RC's on him. Keep the fields up, him occupied with RC's, and you can cast direct damge spell on him. If there isn't an RC(s) on him, stop the direct damage spells, get your fields back up, and cast RC again. Lather, rinse and repeat until his health is low enough to WoD him and he's down fast and easy. I generally die to him once or twice about every fifth run, the rest I come out unscathed. Seriously, learn, adapt, find what works and what doesn't. Small groups are perfectly fine for him, fun, and challenging without being crazy difficult. I don't understand your rants on Exodus and his scroll distribution.

If you don't want the challenge, buy the loot off Luna vendors.

I remember my first day in UO way back in 1998, I went up to a mongbat started to whack it and ended up dead. So i then had to start on something a little easyer

Personally I enjoy Exodus... it's nice to have something that's not only a challenge but can keep a group occupied. Too often things are so easy folk solo everything making doing things as a guild or group rather dull and boring... some of us like the excitement of knowing we are going to die if we aren't real careful.

I am all for making him destroy boxes/bagballs, but I think they took it a little far with him instanly dropping Efields. I think they are a legit spell. If you have mages dedicated to making sure the fields stay up I think they should be allowed to stand.

I hate this. Fields should be treated as player skill since they are temporary. I guess they'll never fix monster teleporting.

They don't. There's only one particularly viable melee template in UO so naturally the devs resent it and nerf it at every opportunity.

I disagree. There's a vid on YouTube of three dexxers xhealing (one is a whammy) while a mystic mage takes care of group, so it's def possible to use non-sampires there.

We are going there EXCLUSIVELY with non-sampires... Many other templates work!

You could go there on a crafter and throw ingots at it with enough crosshealers and a mystic babysitting you. Your non-sampire self will pretty much explode into giblets under all other circumstances though.

the reason a sammy doesnt work is because it mechanical so you cant leech life back. drop necro for healing and your doing the same damage as your sammy would but using bandages to xheal instead of vamp form.

All you're describing here is an ABC Archer who switched to swordsmanship so he could take huge melee damage from bosses for no reason. If you know anyone with a template like this, politely suggest they take up archery. They'll be way better off.

Because an archer cant tank exodus like a melee char can. So you tank exodus and xheal with 3 ABC? can you post a video id love to see archers tank better than melee

An archer doesn't need a "tank" and also doesn't need three other people spamming heals on him in order to pretend he's running a decent template. I mean jeez, go stone swords/parry/bushido onto a crafter, give him a nice suit and a bunch of healers, and he can probably "tank" while sewing dresses with a template half full of nonsense.

Yeah if your buddies are gargoyles, they should definitely swap in the ranged skill they can actually use. Duh. I just presume they're human since no one in history has ever rolled a gargoyle for melee.

Certainly don't leave them go with their little ABC melee "It's 2005 and I just got Samurai Empire and I don't know what I'm doing!" templates. Someday they're going to have to do something besides Exodus, and might not have a whole squad of healers to carry them.

Thunderz is right, Exodus is too fast for Archers doing it alone. It might work, but gonna be QUITE hectic. ONLY archers, I mean. If you have old-fashioned dexxers with x-heal you will be quite busy but manage it very nicely.

Alternatively: A bunch of tamers that take care for each others pets or (my favourite) 3 simple mystics with different templats. Very easy.

Exodus with 3-4 people is easily do-able.. either all mystics with constant rising colossus or add in a thrower/archer or 2. No bag balls needed and less than 20 mins and its done.. I've never understood all the hassle of the bagball tactic
