10/17/2019 – Receiving a rather unexpected request from none other than Batlin of the Fellowship, Abigail sent the rangers to Jhelom where he was expecting them. The Fellowship leader, who had recently appeared during the war between the schools, had returned to Jhelom to provide further assistance where he could, but considering the tense situation and dangerous conditions, asked for the rangers’ protection while he carried out his charitable works.

Initially, Batlin and the rangers entered the healer’s shop, where one of the last wounded warriors from the recent battle lay with a grievous wound that was beyond the ability of Jhelom’s healer to remedy. Nevertheless, Batlin attempted to provide a cure himself, taking several herbs from a pouch and mixing them using a particular recipe which he said he had learned in his youth while being trained as a druid. Amazingly, the patient was relieved of his tremendous pain, allowing the Jhelom healer to finish tending to the warrior’s wounds. When Batlin asked the healer if he knew of anyone in the area that could use help, the healer mentioned that there was a group of dream venom addicts that tended to loiter around in the western area of the city, north of the city’s bank.

Thus, Batlin and the rangers sought out these men, hoping to help them as they could. Initially, the dream venom users were quite contentious and unwilling to accept any helpful words from the Fellowship leader. However Batlin, who possessed an incredible charisma, began to turn each one, one by one, towards his way of thinking, all save for one particularly stubborn soul who, feeling he had been backed into a corner, began to suffer a drug-induced episode, causing several shadowy dream manifestations to appear as he succumbed to the drug’s effects and died. As the other addicts observed the manifestations being slayed after the death of their companion, they all became very adamant about wishing to join the Fellowship, to which Batlin happily accepted.

As the group departed, they encountered a group of Brothers in Arms students, who recognized the rangers as their enemies and expressed a desire to fight. Batlin, however, who did not wish to see further fighting, advised the rangers to go on ahead while he attempted to calm the students, and stated that is where they would part ways. The rangers followed his instruction and carried on, but happened to encounter their mysterious friend, Jonny, who seemed to have a strange request. Even though the Brothers in Arms now reigned as the supreme school of Jhelom, he feared would spell the end of the school. Believing that the school needed to be taken down in order to restore its virtue, he asked the rangers to advise Keith to steal the Brothers in Arms’ Honor Flag. While Jonny acknowledged that he was making a heavy request, he stated that stealing the Brothers in Arms most prized possession would undermine its credibility and cause it to lose membership and morale, giving them an opportunity to handle Rolf.
