Event will flood game with crystalline blackrock

about every ophid mage type i kill in the event area seems to drop a crystalline blackrock, be ready to sell off your supply of it before it goes live, cuz therell be tons of it.


also anyone figure out what the bottles of Error are from the ophids? found one of each graphic type, i assume they are gonna be like ophid rations and just for deco

Good. Drops are (or were, I haven't tried in months) way too rare in Cavern of Discarded.

found out the crystalline blackrock is for the bane sides quest for blackrock stew. i soloed the invasion spawn and stopped looting the blackrocks at about 60 of them. so if people are smart they will hold off on buying any crystalline blackrocks cuz this event is gonna flood the game with it. Wonder what the drop is for the other side?

Its also the drop for the other side. Ophidians need it for there potions.

Q: Will it be the utter doomsday scenario laid out in the OP?
A: No. The Bane/Ophid war will be a major new source of crystalline blackrock, however, everyone is forgetting that it is also a new sink for crystalline blackrock. People are talking as though every single piece that people loot will immediately be put up for sale for use in Imbuing. A sizeable percentage of this stuff is going to be spent in the event itself, 20 pieces at a time, to buy stuff from the two sides.

doomsday scenario? what are you talking about? I started the thread before i knew why the event mobs were droppin CB, i edited it after i found out about the stew quest and that. Simply giving a heads up to those who sell or buy CB that its gonna be alot more common. not everyone wants a bane draggy so they will not use thier farmed Cb for the quest.

im not saying its going to hurt/help the uo economy or any of that nonsense, itll just be alot easier to put 15 skill points on jewels finally.

Well I guess no more need for miners to bother mining in Ter mur or killing the elementals for a chance at them. Definetely sell it off. It doesn't matter it takes 60 for the stu. You can easily get 200 per 30 or less minutes in this event multiply that by all the players in the event and the time frame the event stays around Other than no pop shards other shards like atlantic,pacific and the rest will overflow with these. Crystaline blackrock should reach extreme lows. I figure for each day the event remains active it will be a week more before prices increase again. So assuming 30 days for the event it will be 2.5 years before it reaches the previous levels if no other event is introduced. So sell while you can. The low pop shards prices should take much less time to return to previous levels.How long is this event suppose to last anyway?

Small mined blackrock does have a use. It takes down dark wisp shields. If you're not happy with that use, I am not sure what to tell you.

Good good .. the more there is the better. I craft +15 skill jewels for free for new characters on europa. They were happy and i was glad i could help. The new ones wanted low skills jewels cause they couldnt afford high skill jewels.

So they got +15 for free. Now i can help even more newer players. I don't care for any "market value".

Could always tell the new players to go to test center so they can get everything free and without any type of hassle. They can kill everything there and also pvp there also if they like they can even explore all the lands and talk to other test center only players. I prefer to teach the players how to get things instead of giving them handouts. They will never learn the game or appreciate anything if all is giving to them. Reminds me of spoil kids with no responsibility. These players usualy quit pretty early as soon as there trial run out actually. The ones that don't quit are returning vets anyway.

Either way in the public shards where people have to work for what they get which in turn actually makes the game have meaning the price for those players that spend there days mining in ter mur to work for there items or killing elemntals will go back up for them for there trouble depending how long that event last. It will be a while before that so mining in the gargoyle lands will be empty and elemental killing will be down.

I want a use for small blackrock not just bring down the shield. It needs something to use it for that is continous and worth using.
