4/12/2017 – The guards gathered in the captured docks of Trinsic to prepare for the next assault. Commander Forthwin led the charge across the river into western Trinsic where the Royal Guards met a gruesome phalanx of undead, many of them former residents of the city. The guards pushed the undead westward, clearing them out completely all the way to the western wall. Before they could push into the northwestern quarter of Trinsic, however, the undead began to rally from the east, forcing the guards to double-back before the undead could effectively flank them. Finally, the guards pushed north to the Trinsic Barracks, where they encountered none other than the Pallid Knight himself. The knight challenged the guards by forcing them to annihilate one of the finest horses of Trinsic, Baldur the Mighty Steed – a coveted horse among many of Trinsic’s Paladins but now destroyed and returned as an undead minion of the Knights of Mondain. The guards slew the horse as the Pallid Knight made his exit. Though a victory, it was a victory marked with grief for the fallen.
