With a spring in his step Lieutenant Fynn Barrett walked out the gate and across the bridge. When his feet touched the cobbles of the city he paused a moment and looked down the road. Britain, you are truly the most beautiful city in the entire Kingdom!
Earlier that day Avery, Commander of the Royal Guard, had summoned him to the castle and appointed him to his new post: The Guard Tower at the western Bank, right at the heart of the city. His mission was to defend its citizens and to sharpen the skills of the Royal Guard.
The sunlight reflected from his shield as he turned on his heels to follow the road along the moat. I am ready!
