As we gathered Sunday the 2nd of august 20.00 GMT, Nathan had interesting news for us. The body of One-Eyed Pete had washed ashore (See: One-Eyed Pete May Have Drowned) and it was rumored that a note with coordinates leading to Pete's treasure had been found on the body! Nathan urged us to find this treasure and keep it safe.

We hurried to the spot, but Pete's body was nowhere to be found. Instead we found dragon scales and an arm with teeth marks. The Demon Temple was not far, so we suspected the dragons had snacked on Pete's dead body! We were right. Inside the dragon basement we found a note.

The note gave us the coordinates to a place where Pete was supposed to collect a payment. The coordinates (159o 47S 73o 28E) pointed to a small island off the Trinsic coast.

As we arrived at the island we found 3 pirates and their colorful, talking parrot. They responded to various keywords and certainly knew Pete. The Parrot kept talking about hidden treasure while the pirates kept telling it to shut its' beak!

The Pirates mentioned a good friend of Pete called ”William the Fence”. He was definitely a man we needed to talk to. We tried to locate him but to no avail. We called it a night and went each our separate ways. Yet, the search is far from over. Perhaps the coming days will reveal new clues as to the whereabouts of William the Fence and Pete’s hidden treasure.

William the Fence was located in the Rusty Anchor Inn in Trinsic. However, he's quite the tough guy and kept his mouth completely shut at our attempts to question him...

Went back to Bald Island to see if I could get anything new from the 3 pirates - while I was there the 3 disappeared and a new NPC appeared called Roshi the Hermit. Couldnt get much from him either just a response to 'hello' and 'Pete'.

Also tried William the Fence again but he is still keeping schtum.

Maybe later today?.

4.50pm Called at Bald again there is now a book there from Emile advising that they are having technical difficulties with the treasure hunt. Hunt is delayed.

Erm, little problem with the waterstained letter.
If it was found where Pete was eaten, then Casca never recieved it and thus didnt send the gold to the given co-ords

That's true but we are seaching for Pete's personal fortune and knowing Casca he probally would have scammed Pete for the money anyway.

maybe

Exactally, it seems Casca has run out of funds to rebuild his mercenary army or any other evil he may of had planned, and we are trying to beat him to One eyed Petes fortune to prevent Casca from getting his hands on it. Thus protecting Sosaria in doing so.

Why does he need funds, when he seems to have Daemons and stuff at his disposal?

He has some rather powerful benefactors, too...

I think he may need to show his allies that he still has his use's, i.e can field an army, all be it mercenaries. After all he's no longer king and lost alot of his usefulness to them.
