I have been back for approximately 3 months and have noticed that the EMs
are missing. What has happened that they no longer are a presence like they once were.

Hmm since returning I've seen them a couple times, but only for events. I think this is kind of how it was before as well.

Stop in public places like Luna bank and check the lanterns. I've seen a few things just over the couple of months. A fishing contest? check their website, don't forget, they probably can't post here. but they are around and pretty active.
