6/13/2019 – The rangers learned that a call had been put out by a druid at the Court of Truth requesting their aid. Honoring the ancient kinship that has long existed between druids and rangers, the Rangers Guild readily agreed and made their way, encountering none other than Jaana the Druid. The stern druid had been charged with hunting down the criminal known as Hook, the nefarious leader of the Guild of Thieves that had overtaken much of Britannia’s seas and interrupted the flow of trade with rampant piracy, to carry out an execution sentence passed by the Court in response to the profound threat posed by Hook.

Soon after arriving at Buccaneer’s Den, the party was set upon by pirates that Hook had empowered to overthrow the King’s Law. Giving the key to Jaana, the young thief quietly went back into hiding.

Using the key on the nearby tunnel entrance, the party entered into the dank tunnels, and before long encountered Hook, Rankin, and their gang hard at work at producing dream venom. The druid and her fellow rangers wasted no time in laying down the King’s Law, putting down Hook’s wayward pirates and even the rogue mage, Rankin. Hook fought fiercely but was struck a mortal blow. Knowing he was beat, he attempted to climb a nearby wall to escape his hunters, but as he passed out from the injury he fell over into an underground river whose destination no one could know.

As the party examined the bloody halls of the villainous pirate, they noticed a large tank filled with water and within, the decaying corpse of a strange sea creature that nobody had ever seen before. The creature seemed oddly human, yet at the same time, something like a fish…
