Event issue/question

I just tried to get into event area today and ops I cant
No matter what I try to reach the damn gate I just cant
I was there yesterday when event started and had no problem.

Anyone experienced same problem?

Try walk mode, and wander around the gate rather than charging directly for it.

It often seems to suck me in when I'm in a tile next to it.
