Event idea thread

In my on-going attempt to revitalize this shard (which by the way if you havent commented on the other thread please do so) I would like people to suggest some player run events that they would like to see happen.

If for example you are to busy, or dont have the resources, or support to pull it off yourself, feel free to post here and let other people know what you would like to see happen.

On a personal note ive almost finalized my first of 5 events, came up with a few interesting twists ; ) You should see a post from me about the first within a week at the most, hopefully sooner.

A pvp even using pre pub 16 rules....that would make me come back in a heartbeat.

What would the rules be exactly? Give me a list of requirements and restrictions and ill see what I can do. Or is this not something I can do, and its more about a pre 16 shard?

It would be something you could do, pvp wise.
Either as a tourney, or as team capture the flag type thing.
We did this with RP guild/territory wars some. The rules were fairly simple...GM gear only, no runic, no arties, no imbued, just plain GM gear.
Pots allowed, bandies allowed, mage healing allowed. In other words, equip yourself as you would be equipped in the day Made for some interesting duels, some of which lasted long enough to be quite entertaining!

For Capture the flag/throne type event, same rules, with the additional rule of when you die, you stay in drobe and cannot rejoin the battle.

One other thought...and a very fun thing I participated in in the past.
Battle chess, at the Nujelm Chessboard. But, I'm unsure if you could now get enough peeps to do it

The summer festival was fun, we should do a winter one as well. Each guild take an idea / event and host it. We already have another idoc house started.

With High Seas slated to begin next week, annual Halloween event on the horizon, and perhaps a Thanksgiving event like lat year's awesome one, don't be disappointed if the turnout is light. I too am contemplating a couple events based in the Abyss (transporter pads to Abyss House already in place) but I will wait until after the New Year, High Seas itself will keep me focused for months
