Does my weapon with hit lightning do more lightning damage if I have high Eval Int on my template?

I believe it gives you 80 eval int skill on the spells, so in theory if you have 120 it would do more damage.

Hit spell effect damage is not tied to the evalint of the weapon's owner, otherwise such effects would do barely any damage, since it is primarily designed for dexxers. I remember reading a comment made by a Dev about that, saying hit spell damage follows its own damage formula.

If I remember correctly, a DEV stated that all the hit spells are using same damage formula that equals to casting the spell with 50eval. No, having higher eval doesnt help you increase that amount however sdi and inscription DOES raise their damage.

Reason I asked is that I was thinking a mage, all decked out with nice armor and such, could carry this nice spell chanelling 50%lightning +1 faster casting -24 magery balanced heavy xbow, and may just have a nice thing going :) ring with 3/1 and some magery skill to offset the loss of 24 points with some spell damage stuff to boot... I am going to try that for a bit.

In stead of carrying a book with some extras on it, this actually hits home. Perhaps even an arrow or two will land... Can even chug pots...

Now, how about an undead slayer talisman, and hitting some undead stuff. Will the undead double the lighting damage from my bow?

I guess I could just try it, but I will have to wait until this evening :)
