I'm located in Europe too and I'm not paying any tax (right now).

If you pay UO per credit card, simply cancel it. Then go buy gametime codes on uogamecodes.com (official UO shop) for US Dollars. The exchange rate is pretty nice right now (60$ for 6 months = 43 EUR). But make sure that you can buy gametime from their shop!

Yep, same here. I paid the ridiculous tax too...
