Ok guys first let me say that if you are going to criticise then please can we stay constructive so this thread doesnt have to be locked like previous ones.

Ive been on the news team for Europa for a year now and I personally want to start having some changes.

What do you guys want to see the news team doing?
What do you think us guys on the team do wrong?
Suggest some articles you guys would like to see us write

Most of all I would like to know why in the entire year ive been a member of the team i never ever get emails from the europa community for news and events to report on.

Anything else anyone wants to add please do. But remember keep it constructive so the topic isnt locked. I want to improve things and i cant do that if you guys get this locked again.

- My advice/comment always stays the same: Go out to find news, don't wait for ppl to mail you. Show interest and dedication. Be proud of your position!

- What i would personally like to read: Interviews - Silly Stories - ... Not so much 'News' in the purely theoretical sense of the word.

My personal interests lean mostly towards a. Trading and b. Rares.
If there would be any interest i wouldn't mind writing up reviews of shops and/or museums.

Articles on the history of some stuff is always interesting to read.

It would also be great if you could do a 'Lookback at Europa Over the Years' type of thing. We have had so many fantastic communties and players over the years, it would be great to read a bit about it. Obviously there might be issues tracking some information down, but I'm sure people will point you in the right direction.

'Player Interviews' are also pretty interesting reads

A bit about the 'PvP happenings' or any harrowers and such is also interesting - if somewhat controversial at times

I would gladly report on PvP happenings and on Harrowers that happen but im not a PvP'er. Also I dont know where to find guilds in fel to find out about events going on. Perhaps someone could let me know of the events so that we can get them reported.

here's one for you kayne. i'm hearing murmers that a guild over on atlantic got ripped off the same way we did, by a char with the same name. how about some good, old fashioned, investagative journalism? if nothing else, we can get the word out so he can't get anyone else.

Somehow I doubt someone would go and "cross-shard-scam" for stuff worth like 5m tops. Besides that, i fear the investigation journalism-concept won't be applauded by the Mods as the chances you'd stay within RoC are pretty much nihil.

I'm afraid Gwen is quite right. The chances of staying within RoC are practically non-existant. How would you reveal your findings without a name? And giving a name would constitute a personal attack.
