Enhancing looted armor not working?

Hello folks,

was ingame after some pause and hunted for good items. Found leaf gloves named "Greater artifact" with 150 luck, tried to enhance them with spined leather to get a 190 luck item and got the message: "This item is already enhanced with the properties of a special material". Does that mean that I can't enhance looted items with the artifact-tag?

Is it prized, antique, etc..? I get the made of special mats message when unraveling these.

Yes, it's taged "antique"....

Any items with the "antique" tag cannot be enhanced.
