enhancing bows

i want to increase my success chances to enhance a bow with ash... have enhanced 4 bows now, one failed.

should your talisman have both high fletching bonus and fletching exceptional bonus? or does only the fletching bonus matter?

lastly does Luck (on your suit) play any part in enhancement?

The answer: None of those things effect enhancing at all.

Talismans only affect crafting, not enhancing (enhancing is based off your skill value, not a crafting success number), as much as we wish they would.

So nothin we can do to get better chances of enhancement if we're at GM fletcher? What about some special item to raise skill for Fletchers, like the 105 miner gloves, or the Lady Mel Hatchet, etc?

I lost a nice bow this AM. Tryin to get rid of my old xbow so I crafted a "bow", POF'd to 255/255, imbued DI 1, SSI 30, Balanced, Hit Lightning 50, and Velocity 38. Enhance... poof. That was an expensive bow. But I made a 2nd one right after and it enhanced fine. Itching to try it out on someone now

If you enhance a bow with less than max SSI then your success is higher. So for my archer suit it has 20 SSI and imbue my bows to 25 and then enhance to 35. When I had his suit at 30 SSI it was great because I would use an oak fletching kit to get 15 SSI and enhance to 25 and never failed the enhance. The resists on my 30 SSI suit were too poor though so I had to drop to 20. You can pack in lots of other property intensities with only 15 SSI on the bow to start.

ive worked with dc runic hammers... but not at all with runic fletching kits yet.

with runic hammers, its best to use dc to get a chance at an elemental weap, or mods, without other useless stuff like luck being added...

is the oak runic kit the "DC runic hammer" of runic kits?
do i use oak runic kit with regular wood, and then enhance ash?

The oak kit only gives you 15 SSI max. The only thing to normally use the oak for is the balanced property. If you only need a max of 25 SSI after enhance then the oak is good for swing speed too, but most people don't have 30 SSI on their armor. The oak kit is the lowest of the runic kits like DC, but oak doesn't give 100% intensities.

I don't remember too many damage type bows coming from the oak kit. Yes you use the oak kit on regular wood and enhance afterwards.

It gives you a 100% chance of enhancing anything you want!

I just picked one up, though I'm not sure what to make with it first!! lol

i wouldnt waste that on a bow. i enhanced 4 out of 5 just fine.
for woodland armor, maybe yes due to the remake factor with resists and the randomness of getting HCI or DI!

From the books I find laying on the ground in the game I read more like 99 cents per million.

But I have never bought nor sold anything in the game for real money so I have no idea how much gold may cost with real money.
