[Tailoring] Enhancement question

What's the difference in stats between making a horn hide piece directly, and making a normal piece then enhanced with horn hide.

I just want to make some cheat all 70, 100 LRC suits, and don't know where to start with.

  • Making with runic tools using tailoring - nothing, other than the high chance to break when enhancing.
  • Imbuing an item needs to be done starting with a regular leather item then enhance after you max out you imbuing. Again, high chance of breaking during enhancing.
  • On the other hand, you get much more specific attributes (at 5-6 charges per item) by making an exceptional item out of regular leather with a normal tool, Reforging, then imbuing if there's room (often there isn't), then enhancing (highest chance of breaking, but also highest chance of getting what you need).
Breakdown.
  1. Runic items made just with the crafting skill (no imbuing planned) are best done with the material.
  2. Items to be imbued need to be made with regular leather/iron/wood, imbued to 500/their max power, then enhanced, as the material bonuses count against the imbuing strength.
  3. Reforging can only be done to plain vanilla crafted items of the base material (with or without exceptional bonuses).
