Endless Blackrock supply??!!!!

Hi,

I am puzzled where everyone at the SL event is getting their endless supply of blackrock to use? I found a very small peice of blackrock in my pack over this past weekend. Don't know how it got there but I used it.

Little help?

PS I have zero chance of getting a cloak or jewel. This event was geared to tamers.

Blackrock can be mined, you can get it as a minor drop in the TOT3 event, almost 2 years ago now, there was an oops in a publish and it was spawning on the ground for a week or so at server up. I have kept it horded away figuring it would be useful at some point.

What is the blackrock used for? I have about 50 small pieces.

Its the reagent for the Armageddon spell, used to bring down the Shadowlord Manifestation's defenses.

I got mine by buying large quantities of it when it lost popularity. Had a feeling it may be useful come stygian abyss so I stockpiled. Other than that the Blackrock is dropping from Mobs in Tokuno. As for what it's used for, it's used for the Armageddon Spell which removes the shield from the SL's and does around 1k dmg to them.

There is speculation blackrock may find a use in the Stygian Abyss expansion as well, but thats all it is at the moment. In either case, I am hording it just in case oO.

Am just hoping thered more use for it than just 1 shot deal with shadowlords. We need a turn in or a reagent or something that it can be consumed constantly maybe a imbuing regent something anything.

To The OP, one of the ToT drops is a piece of blackrock. Thats probably how it got in your pack, as a drop after you helped kill a SL

Just to prove I could, I have gotten ToT's on every character I currently control. This includes 3 crafters. With that many people, you dont need to do much damage to get into the loot table, and as far as targeting, yeah thats the hardest part, but not impossible. After you get the bar, even with no eval, I was able to mind blast my way to a ToT on a crafter with no eval, no med, and 80 magery!

Doing it on a tamer is just the easiest way, not the only way

Only top 3 damage dealers recieve a cloak, only the top dmg dealer recieves a shard (When ever that part happens).

As long as you do enough dmg to get looting rights you can get ToT's from the SL's which doesn't take a lot. Cloaks and the Shard are a whole different ballgame.

I've gotten five cloaks so far, and I almost always at least get a ToT. although for some reason, my luck at the waste site is rather poor. how have I gotten the cloaks? well, I'll admit that two were through Armageddon. however, the other three were from spamming wither and earthquake as soon as the manifestation spawns. I also drop as many fire fields as I can around the area while waiting for the spawn. rarely I'll get the bar up, but if I can't find it in the first second after the spawn, I stop trying and just spam AoE's. with so many people damaging the SL you gotta figure that it won't take that much damage to get in the top three. especially since the majority of people waste too much time trying to get a bar

I don't recall reading anywhere that this is going to be the way the shards of the gem are going to be recieved, perhaps they shall be rewarded by some other result?

If it is indeed handled some other way I know that will make many very happy. Well...... maybe lol, you never know.

I've gotten close to 40 cloaks total. Still have ~20 of them stored in my house and the rest on my vendors. Tip: Archer + Wraith Form + (Optional Mana Leech Composite) + AI spam = Cloak.

hey what shard you play on? I have like 10 you can have if you play on legends.

I used a Necro-Mage-Weaver and a Tamer, an almost always get a ToT drop but the Tamer get the cloak half as much more than mage.

But the 2 Mempos I got were both from non-tamer, and both times I wasn't even in the Top 3 circle What I do is cast arcane empowerment, then summon 2 EV's then spame Wind with a STR3 - STR6 Focus. If I miss cloak and mempo, I almost always get a ToT drop. Just be sure to Dismiss summons before recalling to SL #2 or #3

I'm glad I saw this. It just seems like endless supplies, we only use 1 if we get the attack & only 1 person gets the attack.

We do have a ton, but we hardly ever use any of it for this.

Tamers aren't the only ones getting the cloaks because the pets aren't doing all that much damage, and on Atl there are upwards of 50 dragons there at a time. A bow might actually work better.
