Empty Spell Book Question

How do you get spells added to an empty spell book?

Purchase or make the spell scroll (only one needed). Drop the scroll on the closed spellbook when it is in the backpack. Rinse and repeat as needed.

As long as you have a full spell book in your back pack, you can equip an empty one for the bonuses and still cast from it. To get the bonuses off of a spell book it needs to be equiped. But as long as you have a full spell book in your back you can cast.
