[Magery] Empty Slayer spellbook

Saw a few people carrying dragon slayer spellbook. I hover my mouse and it's empty. It says 0 spells.

So if I equip dragon slayer book, even it's empty and I carry another book in my bag. It will give me the slayer bonus as long i equip it on paperdoll?

Btw, any tips how to kill greater dragon as mage/mystic? sometimes it didn't dispel my colossus that fast. I use flamestrike and the dmg is super terrible.

looking for any advice to improve my gameplay.

Yes, you only need one full spell book, the other slayer books can be empty

Depending on stats GD's usually are lower in Energy resist and higher in Fire resist. Try chain lightening or e-bolts should find better damage
