Likely, they were also paid off by the smugglers to look the other way. So, when the attack came under the cover of the darkness, the outcome was already decided…

Report obtained from a distraught Minoc citizen.

As I tole' the good Captain, brigands came in and just took o'er the Minoc Mines! They slipped in under cover o' darkness.

Now, I seen plenty o' brigands an' misfits in my day. Plenty. But ne'er seen so many at the same time! An' workin' hand in hand, nah less! They cut the throats of the Guards on the bridge. Did the same to plenty o' the miners.

And not just ta' raid and steal and leave! They're blockin' off the mines!
Those mines are the lifeblood of Minoc, nay, of the 'tire realm! The brigands must be removed. No delay, now!

In brief, Minoc Mines on both Trammel and Felucca facets have been captured by an unknown group of assailants.

Your task is to capture or kill the brigands and clear the mines.

DON'T LET ANY BLOODY ROYAL GUARD COME PAST THAT BLOODY BRIDGE!

Got it? We ain't gonna hang out here for too long. Just need two days to strip the mines with as much as we can. So, don't go rushing into the town plundering it. That is the fastest way to get the bloody Britannian High Council to get their collective fingers in our nose. So, keep the bloodshed to the minimum and don't let anyone past the bloody bridge.
