The hooded stranger cursed as she entered the humid caves which had become the base of operations for her campaign. She longed for a proper bath in a proper house. Walking past the odd mercenary, she swiftly made her way to her chambers.
Once in her chambers, she took out a crystal from under her hood. By the looks of it, it resembled the common communication crystals. However, it had a strange aura around it which made it seem to be a device of far greater complexity and reach.
Placing the crystal on her desk, she peered deeply into it. Nothing happened for few minutes. But then, a demonic voice came from the crystal,
"Do you have him?"
"Aye! Saius is in our custody." Then, biting her lips… "However, there is a problem."
The voice snarled… "Problem!?"
The hooded stranger shivered and lowered her gaze.
"Saius seems to have undergone a change of heart… Ever since Casca’s control over him ceased. He seems to be of two persons, changing between the Saius we expected and his old persona."
"Destroy his old persona then! You are capable of this, why bother me?"
"Aye. However, there is a danger that he might not survive the process."
"He is useless to you in his current condition. You need him to rally the followers of Blackthorne and use his powers to boost the mercenaries!"
Nodding to herself, she whispered back… "I understand. I will weed out whatever is left of Saius’ true persona. He will be dancing to our tunes shortly."
"Failure is not an option! If you do not meet your end of the bargain…"
