Dawn closed herself in the privacy of her bedchamber, seeking to be alone with her thoughts. She had done well these past few days she told herself, keeping from her face the concern brought on by the recent reports of Daemon Scouts being dispatched in Britain and Luna.
Alone now, however, Dawn began to feel the worry and uncertainty of the last few days well up inside her, and for a brief moment she felt unsure and disheartened. Pacing the room Dawn fought to make sense of the thoughts that raced through her mind.
"What purpose...? Who commands these foul creatures? Why are they here and what do they seek?"
"Enough of this!", Dawn told herself aloud. "Never have the people of this Land failed me in a time of need, and they will not do so now! Together we will put an end to this."
Dawn reached briskly for a piece of parchment and began to write. When she finished, she threw open the door and summoned a courier standing nearby.
"Take this and post it immediately. This madness must end," Dawn said with determination as she turned back to her room to retrieve her sword and prepare.
