Under Pressure

Nathan smiled ruefully after he stepped out of the secret bookcase at his office. The investigators were beginnning to think like true detectives and spies and less like bumbling town guards. It was a good plan, get William tipsy and befriending him after a few days of psychological pressure.

"So you wan us ta build a guillotine in the grounds of the Royal Castle?" asked the carpenter looking slightly nervous.

"Aye, and make sure you make a lot of noise while you are at it!" replied Nathan emotionlessly.

The carpenter slowly nodded and gathered his tools.
