[EM News / Event] Guardsman Dunn Captured by the Bane Chosen.
By EM Seppo.
Dear Citizens,
First of all, I would like to thank you for taking up the quest to find out the fate of the guard recruit Trystan Dunn. Unfortunately, the worst has come to pass; Dunn is being held within a camp heavily guarded by the forces of Virtue Bane. A report of a person that was able to sneak in and out of the camp fellows.
I urge the defenders of Britain to spare any time and strength that can be possibly expended given the current circumstances to help rescue Dunn. The recruit is the responsibility of the Town Guards as he was at the Faire Grounds under our direction. I have posted a single scout to keep an eye on the camp. Perhaps, we can ambush one of the Bane and gain means to enter the camp.
Sincerely,
Town Guard Yosh.
Note: Bane guards will be found outside of the camp. Take a guard down to see if you can obtain something of use to enter the camp. The guards will be found outside of the camp at various times, including:
Thursday, February 3rd - 7 to 8:00 PM PST.
Friday, February 4th – 2:00 to 4:00 PM PST.
Friday, February 4th – 7 to 8:00 PM PST.

….As you make your way south of the shrine of Sacrifice (Ilshenar), the banners flying from the top of the tents is the first thing you see as you approach the camp. The camp itself is protected by a palisade. When I tried to estimate its strength, it felt like no wood I have ever encountered. I doubt a dozen men would be able to make a dent to it. Given the nature of the forces involved, magic is likely to be the culprit for it’s seemingly supernatural strength.
However, as we walked around the perimeter of the camp – trying to be as light footed as possible – we discovered a point of weakness. At one of its corner, the walls just did not quiet mesh up. That might be difficult to imagine, how does a wall not mesh up? As I said before there is probably magic involved. More importantly, we were able to make use of this gap and teleport ourselves inside.
This is the general layout of the camp or what we could make out of it within the short period we spent inside. There is one large farmhouse, likely crawling with Bane officials. I am not familiar with their ranking structure, but every army has its captains and generals! Then there are the two tents. As luck would have it, we saw a person matching the description of Trystan Dunn being dragged inside one of the tents. Rescue was out of the question as the grounds are heavily guarded and we were but two.
We hope that this information is of some import for any rescue attempts being planned for the poor chap. I do not envy his position and am glad that I am writing this letter from the warmth of my humble home.
PS – The gap in the wall seems to have been fixed as we were not able to gain entry again.
