elf or human?

hey guys im making the traditional bushido/parry/swords temp.

No necro, because i need a character that i can get keys with and when i play in groups and have healing and what not...

should i go elf or human?

You can get keys and play in groups and have healing while having necro...



I always go elf for the extra 20 mana.

Why doesn't someone make a guide from all the reasons to go Elf or Human and put a sticky on it? Seems this gets asked a lot, and not having to hunt for it would be a good idea for those wondering.

i have no room for healing.

You don't absolutely need parry, it's just pretty damn nice. For keys, healing is more useful. Drop parry to 0, add 20 to tactics/anat, bring healing to 100.

There's no need for a sticky, it's simple really.

As a general rule:

PvM- Elf
PvP- Human

See what I mean? There should be more to it than just one or the other, why you would choose one over the other, pros and cons, play style differences. Anything a new player would want to know when deciding.

For me:
PvM: Elf (for the 20 extra mana)
Crafter/Miner: Human (for the JOAT skills and Strongback)
Tamer: Elf (to tame cu sidhe)
