(Question) Elemental Slayers

Was rummaging through some stuff in my houses and found a couple pure "Elemental Slayers" - not any specific slayer category. I was curious, as I've heard folks in chat talking about Shame monsters, whether an old school elemental slayer works against the new els I heard discussed like Flame Els amongst others. Does an Elemental Slayer even drop as loot anymore or can it even be crafted these days?

Thanks for any feedback.

Ok... Czarina is correct that Elemental Slayer (the Super Slayer) can be imbued on weapons, but not things. Spellbooks cannot for example as they're a crapshoot while making.

The problem with super slayers is this tho. Usually when farming your killing one specific monster and if its of the Elemental family you do 2X damage against it. If you were farming Blood's and made a Blood Elemental weapon instead, you do 3X the damage against it. And since your mentioning Shame, you NEED the extra damage... Stuffs extremely tough. A normal fire elemental takes 2-3 spells to kill, ones down in Shame need 15-20.

Thanks all for the replies - was curious and don't mess around in dungeons much. The chances of any of my three chars running into a fire el as described above is about zero. I could be a buyer of any good loot - good hunting.
