EI + Anatomy question

Hi folks,

Am a returning player so I'm no longer sure about how some skill combos work. My question is: I recall EI + Anatomy = Wrestling defense (Evaluating Intelligence + Anatomy + 20 ) / 2) but do I need "real skills" to achieve this or I can use ring and bracelets that come with these skills to achieve the same result?
