Match 12, final evening game of the Third Season season three, and all to play for!

Monday 2nd April, as always 8 PM UK time at the O*T arena in Zento!

Going in to the fights, the league stands at :

7 Points : Lethal Weapon, Grimgerde, Boadicea
6 Points : Siegrune
5 Points : Sky
4 Points : Dryad, Camo
3 Points : MissMarple, Noir, Frosty, Shadow
2 Points : White Coffee, Yin, Wimpy, Valoria's Own Liza
1 Point : Shadow, Dopey, TuurdWhacker (who I usually settle for calling 'Whacker' but she gets her full name on the scorecard ), Lazy, Newbie, Pinkie , Featherstorm

So many possibilities for the final top three places, we may have another shared championship, or a clear winner, but quite possible will have five birds in the top three places.

Statues for the winners are made, but it won't be possible to carve the winners names in until the end of the evening.... and I need to have a few prizes available since we have so many competing for the top places!

And the season rushed to it's finale (or staggered to a close, take your pick ) and we ended up with a close finish, but only one overall winner - the final standings being :

So many congratulations to Lethal Weapon (another winner for Diddlysquat's stables!), a damn close finish and a fun night with several very close fights. Luck was just not with Siegrune and Grimgerde, but Trincic (owners of both those two) are ever getting closer to the title... maybe next season is theirs!

Rather than the usual novelty bout, we ended with a use for the strange 'Talisman of Creatures' items - since it was our 36th match, we handed the audience a talisman each and the winner was whoever summoned a beast with the closest to 36 hit points. In keeping with his ability to get ridiculously high strength battle chickens, Diddlysquat managed a 125 HP ant Lion, whilst others settled for the more reasonable range of harts, sheep, and mainly 'domesticated' creatures (bar one stray frost spider!), and the winner was Kou from the Duchy of Trinsic, with a 34 HP hart.

So that's season three completed, and we now take a short break to get ready for a fourth season beginning at some point in May - dates are to be confirmed, but probably kicking off on the 21st. Through April, we'll carry on running Poker Nights except for this coming Monday, 9th - it being a bank holiday in the UK means all sorts of other things are happening in the real world, so we'll be giving that date a miss, but back again from 16th April.

That'll teach me .... the date of the 16th mentioned above may have to change too, a few minutes ago my 'proper' PC really did stop with a loud bang, and until I know what's happened, and how much money I need to find to fix it, I'll be missing UO for a while (the laptop I'm using to post this is also on it's last legs, only got dragged out in desperation because of the main machine dying!)....

New power supply up and running, and (touch wood) looking stable, so I now have a PC again! Dates for poker nights and the next season of the ECL will follow shortly....
