A common question people ask me is "Mervyn which client do I use?"

My answer is normally, it depends on 2 factors, the template you play. And which client you prefer.

Here is a breakdown of the main Advantages and Disadvantages of the EC for a warrior and mage for PvP over using the classic client with uoassist.

EC ADVANTAGES for a WARRIOR
  1. Pinco's UI's mobiles bar makes it easy to target moving players.
  2. Ability to run faster (technically it's only faster cornering however in normal gameplay effectively the EC players can outrun CC players)
  3. Ability to switch from a range of Weapons rapidly, the CC will only allow the rapid switch to previous weapon, this breaks if disarmed though.
  4. Pinco's UI has inbuilt anti blood oath script
  5. Ability to perform an action (such as switch weapon/dismount) and select a weapon special in one key
EC DISADVANTAGES for a WARRIOR

  1. Client crashes more often than CC
EC ADVANTAGES for a MAGE

  1. Pinco's UI's mobiles bar makes it easy to target moving players.
  2. Ability to run faster (technically it's only faster cornering however in normal gameplay effectively the EC players can outrun CC players)
EC DISADVANTAGES for a MAGE

  1. Slower cast recovery after using self/last target
  2. No Range check on last target
  3. Client crashes more often than CC.
  4. No ability to change spell text colours of other players to those of your own, rendering it difficult to read opposing player's spells over your own.
In Summary I'd encourage warriors to play on EC and Mages to play on CC.

There are ofcourse many other factors to consider when choosing a client for PvP I've just listed the main points to consider, some people find the EC graphics noisy and confusing. Some people prefer the graphics of the EC. Ultimately you should play whatever you find easier.

EC also has the "auto equip slayer" option which is pretty fantastic.

Once setup I just simply target the enemy, hit my "home" key (this can be set to ANY hotkey) and bingo, it automatically equips the correct slayer weapon. If the enemy has no slayer type you can set a default weapon / spellbook for it to select instead.

Lol, crashes often than CC. Why would one subject themselves to this let alone in PvP? I guess you can use the old "I play EC and it crashed" excuse if you die.

another nice EC PVP + is
you can turn off mouse clicks on yourself so you wont dismount by accident and you can turn off clicking on overhead text. so if 2 people are standing side by side you wont click the one with the longest name.
you can also setup the mouse wheel to scroll through players on screen.

edit: one more EC PVP+
you can zoom out and see almost 2.5x the field of view then the CC.

for me CC crashes more..
i can go days without a EC crash, but only a couple hours and the CC will crash.

i guess it depends if your computer is setup for gaming.. if not id use the CC.
if you have quad core or more and a decent newer gen video card then the EC will be better.

for PVM tho there is no reason to use the CC.. everything is better on the EC.

Tug wasn't allowed to do this with UOA!

I hardly ever have CC crashes. I've used the EC not enough times to make judgment there.

Time of daily EC crashes is over for quite a year now for me. Seems they got the worst issues fixed. Though if you only experienced it some years ago, it might not give you an exact view of the current state of the EC.

For the list metioned in the OP, it looks like someone hardly tried to come up with some points to not let the thread totally look like another blood oath whiningfest.
