OK my question is can you switch back and forth from the EC client to the Classic client at any point while playing the game?? I play using the Classic client now but thought if I could switch back and forth when I needed or just wanted a change for a little while I could?? Just wandering.. Banner

You can switch between clients without any technical problem.

However, keep in mind that you may prefer the grid view on containers in the Enhanced Client, as it is much better for handling items in your backpack (or any other container), especially when those contain lots of items.

If you sort items according to the grid view, the container will look like a mess in the classic view.

That's all you should know. Of course, you can switch to legacy backpack in the EC, but the grid view is so much more handy, and the legacy view in the EC currently still looks quite ugly (blurry items).

I may be reading too much into your question and Cap'n Pike provided a valid response. That said reading what I bolded above. You cannot flip back and fourth without logging out of one client and then into the other. You can have both loaded and waiting for login so as to cut down on the down time while you switch, but you cannot be logged into both clients with the same account and "ALT+TAB" between the two. Different accounts is no problem. If this is not what you were asking then completely ignore me!

Thanks Pike and Bain, I guess you both answered my question. I have been playing the Classic client for the last 10 yrs... BUT now I will do the switch from time too time and give it about a month and then decide rather to stick with the Classic or EC.. Thanks again...

I originally tried this approach and it was just to easy to say "I cant do this or i dont have the time to figure it out"

I would suggest reading through the Enhanced client forum and check out the different macros and such and then make your self play it for a couple of weeks to a month WITHOUT going back to the Classic Client! it will seem a lot different at first !
the reason I say this is its just way to easy to use the classic as a crutch!
In the end you will most likely find that you dont want to go back!
the longer you spend on it the more it grows on you!
