Whois shows that this site is still registered to EA and was renewed, in fact, this year.

For reference (and there are other years, search archive.org):

You can browse the old site above, but its interesting to see how much support there was for non-english speaking people as well as how UO was promoted more, back until roughly 2002. DF has a very significant German and Swedish population, there are clilocs for different languages, yet there is so little support for anyone who can't speak English anymore. There were a few GMs, counsellors and companions who spoke german and french, too.

So where is the european love? UO-Europe used to be a "uoem" site of sorts, with news on quests or whatever. There was also staff based in the UK who worked for EA, including GMs at one time. With Japan seeming to have influence over UO with various promotions, why not Europe?

Anyone else think that the EU should be loved again?

Japan gets the support it does because they make up over half the UO population and about half the servers. While it would be nice for non-english speakers to get some better support, I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I also remember the old UO Europe site, after the volunteers were cancelled there was one GM who kept running events until he too quit... =[

They don't update UO.com often, Lets not push it and expect them to create an entirely new site for them not to update that.

Japan speak a different language, So its nice they get a site, Far too many European languages to even consider some sort of central site for them.
