EA-Land beta ?

Whenever i log into EA-Land i get which i`m sure the rest if you do and that's "Under Construction" so if this is the case the progam is not yet finished, So in my reckoning we are beta testers and they have cheek to charge us its like us paying them to beta test there program i think surely it should be the other way round.

It will be a long time before the program is finished, we can expect to be in beta for a least a year.

Better this way, and get all the new stuff than have them rush it and have a half finished product.

They couldnt afford to offer it free

Ok. It is beta. When you choose what city to play in check out EA LAnd (Beta). The idea of the game is to make it profitable. What do you think will happen if they convert all accounts to free accounts with full access? You guessed it... They will flip the big off switch in the sky. The game would close.

Some people will tell you this is NOT beta...
That doesn't include me, but I've been told before lol.

I am thankful to have my tso sims with everything I accomplished for 5 years, still alive and well, so I for one don't care about paying.

You aren't required to pay, you have the option. If your upset with paying go for a free account.

I have no problems paying for my accounts during this time of flux. I can still log on and enjoy the game and my friends. (Well, would enjoy more if the payouts were not so low and the cost of everything so dang high.) But so far the game is intact.

We have just had to keep adding a few new chapters, lots of white out, and a few new appendixes to our EALand survival plan.

I think Duncan is right. They have to make money to keep the game going at all. If the game stops profiting, regardless of beta, its going to die. And anyways, this isn't just a 6 week test of a brand new game. This is a big update to an old game that may last for a year.

It is really just a matter of semantics. All the developers need to do is change language on login user interface to read "EA-Land (Evolving)". Then we could all have multitudes of discussions about the evolution! Oh Wait. We do that daily.

This thread is funny. Well, I was just gonna say what everybody else said (e.g., it's in its beta stage), but everybody beat me to it. I hope you can still have fun with the game this way. It is very exciting for me to be able to play this game, and support it thru subscription, and I can only hope that many others would agree. The changing gameplay is only part of the ride.

I's be willing to bet that no one would call it beta if it had never appeared on the log-in screen.



If anything, it's "Epsilon"......... "Epsilon Alpha"???

You can play for free. Only those who pay get benefits, such as 500 a week, money and skill lot activities. So no one is forcing you to pay to play, many are playing for free. If you don't want to pay for the benefits, just switch to free.

An online game is always changing. I would consider all of them to be in a somewhat beta like state.
