EA -Have you ever thought...

Dear EA, Have you ever thought to update the client current available for download with the latest patches? It couldn't be that hard could it? Simple idea -really good for UO?

I'm having to reinstall and it's taking days -to download the KR client, to patch... *yawn* and I just really want to be playing! I think this is quite off-putting to new players or those who want to give UO a try. It's important to catch interest of people right away, and days of downloading and updating doesn't inspire people.

Simple idea that I believe could go a long way to helping new players. Cheers.

I think they do that every once in a while. At least they do with the 2d client.

When I first installed the 2d client, it was called "Mondain's Legacy" and took hours to patch.

When I reinstalled last month (patching issues), it took about 15 minutes to update and was called "UO 2d client".

So my conclusion is they updated the 2d client which is available for download.

I haven't tried the KR client in a long time.

On the other hand, there are a couple of MONSTER KR patches out there and I don't think they have updated the available-for-download client since the beta. So I'll second your question.

Would it be too much to routinely make the newest version of the client available for download?
