Durability listed twice on item

Hi,
Durability is listed twice on my shield. Once is 100% and once is 67/67.
I know the the 67/67 is the wear on the item, and can be increased with POF.
What is the first one about? How does it figure into the items overall usefulness?
:)

The 100% you see effects how quickly you lose points off the 67/67.I think at 100% you have one tough shield.

It's only useful if you parry with the shield though. Other wise your shield won't lose durability.

I think that may be a mod actually, which means it has 100% more durability than it'd normally have. Post a picture and I could tell you for sure.

Not the most useful mod, but better than night sight.

If I remember right, it's a 'property' that pops up on really old shields, those from way back when Durable, Substantial, Massive, Fortified, or Indestructible were the categories - with the introduction of the visible stats and data, those got an extra 'label' at the top of their information, saying 'Durability ....%'

As far as I know, it makes no difference at all to their actual performance.

i think it still pops up on random monster loot as one of the mods for more durability, you can increase it yet again by enhancing said shield with shadow ingots

It is a current and old mod. Powdered Iron is what is used to Imbue it on a shield only. Not armor and weapons. So 100% pump to what is 67 means it started with 33.5 durability or higher just lowered repairing.

Old armor and weapons pre AoS ahd durability as a mod and still to date counts as a mod when imbuing. Earliest double Exceptional armor made from runics had the Durability % mod.
