Duped Hammer Back on GL

2 vendors at one single house selling Valorite hammers? Please.

Looks like the dupers think the coast is clear. There are 5 Valorite Hammers for sale on Luna Vendors right now and three verite.

Should I buy one and hammer out some weapons? Seems EA isn't watching.

Sure was neat hearing about how WHO easily banned people that obviously cheat... maybe one day all MMO's will be able to save some precious resources by dealing with cheaters once, once, and for all. Otherwise they will continue dealing with the same core cheaters eternally? Hrmm.

My guess is this is from the old dupe.... These guys squirred them away while the fires were hot. Now that the dev's have focused elsewhere (eye of Mordor) they are back out again.

Seems fishy to me.

Great Lakes.

I remember with the vine cord sandal dupes it was mentioned over on the G!B (now FOO) website by a Pac player/broker that Great Lakes is where a famous UO duper makes his home.

The Pac player/broker who mentioned it included a screenshot of the alleged dupers burning house on Great Lakes after the vine cord sandals were nuked.

So it's possible these are fresh dupes.

Whats the going price. Not to much out of the ordinary as the vendors are usually rented to different players. But you never know theres no way to tell there duped you know might as well buy them if there cheap. If he restocks 5 more on 1 vendor then might have a case.

They've been back on Chessie for over two months. I've paged GMs repeditively, and have sent emails and PMs to try and raise attention. No action has been taken. Seems they gave up and are relying on imbuing as the "offset." While I can accept the offset per se, it's the attitude of inaction I find most disburbing. Fixing dupes should have been at the very top of the priority list for quite some time, and it may be. If one thing is killing this game, directly and indirectly, this is it.

Trust me Theo I noticed this as well. The other day I went on a shopping spree and noticed there were SEVERAL vendors on GL with Valorite Runic Hammers .... Doesn't take rocket science to figure out they are likely dupes.

My thought is these folk probably had duped up several of the different bods.... and are just combining them to make hammers... Heck they probably have a ton of the bods just sitting about waiting to be combined.

That's my thought.... I really have no idea how dupes work and I'm very pleased that I don't know anything about it. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.

Ummm... Let me make something clear. "These guys" never went anywhere. The fires never were hot (At least not in the past 3 years). And dont bring up that joke of a banning about 5 months ago. That was redicilous.

This isn't duping, this is SCRIPTING.

I can't be bothered to go into it in proper details (cos its right boring and obvious) but it's easily possible to be turning in like 10,000 BODs per day using scripts and noob accounts to get low level BODs for you to fill.

This means that barbed runic kits are very easy/fast to get, heartwood fletching kits and a fair bit rarer, then the valorite hammers are the rarest of the scripted items.

This is common knowledge. All the UO gold sellers are into doing this. I imagine it's a bit of a pain in the arse to set this up, but it's easily obtainable if your gonna do it as a business I guess.

Every single sales post on UO has turned into some kinda "lets all jerk eachother off" thread about duping. This scripting is a far bigger problem at the moment.

Well I cant say if they are duped or not... but I will say this..

I have been doing bods now for about 6 months religiously. I have a few friends that help collect bods, fill them, and turn them in as well as a few other people that I do trading with. We take our rewards and split them between ourselves. Over time you accumulate a lot of bods (near complete sets) then one week you get a couple of the needed bods and whammoo you have a verite and val hammer... I know this because in the past 2 weeks I have gotten 2 verite hammers filled along with being 1 small bod shy of a val hammer. Now granted this did take some time trading and sorting out just what you need, but its not totally out of the question.

It is almost weekly now that we are pulling in a few of the higher end hammers including Gold, Aggy, Verite (still havent gotten our first val) and +30 +60 ash hammers. Not only that but we are getting mad amounts of Copper, Bronze, and POFs to boot, which we sell and use the cash to buy more bods from other vendors or purchase higher end bods we need.

I currently have 2 accounts, each account each of the character have .1 smithing and I am able to collect about 12 bods an hour ( takes about 5 mins to log em all in and do a quick run), sometimes doing this 2 - 4 times a day. Then one character being legendary smith that fills em and turns them in.

I agree there are a lot of dupes out there but dont throw all of us under the bus just because we have a high end hammer or two.

Well this morning a person that plays on Sonoma openly admitted to me on ICQ that he duped BODs that he can turn in for Valorite runic hammers and from another source I was chatting with I learned the same person is bragging that he has three completely full BOD books of these duped BODs. Because of the RoC I can not name any names but his name is the same as an old time wrestler's name. So buyers beware on Sonoma.
