I have watched the Dev revamp the dungeons one by one, wiht high hopes.
Shame at first was good but could use a bit more tweeking but that is to be expected with a new change.
Then Wrong...... this one was changed to a higher degree for a more advanced character to do... it was not meant for a beginner, but there again I give the dev a inch to ajust it as again its new work.
Now Covetous.... Idk the items this one gives might be the saving grace for it.
Each dungeon was different before and yes you could say too old in its useability for modern players. I'll give you that much.
My concern is this.
After the hype is over and the static populations of each shard has had their fill of them... what next?
Do they sit there unuseable by the smaller players because the strong players pushed for the extreem they could get out of the dev? Or is there a plan that once they cool off to tone them down for the average player?
I see them in a few months being devoid of players...
I have been in the dungeons watching players run through them like water serching for the good items and then abandoning them. Oh i am not saying that once in a very blue moon they wont have a player run through but unless they have something that is usefull till the end of uo time I doubt the revamp is going to make them a habit for many.
The new players we have hate to do things over and over .... thats a fact. Oh they will work like demons to get to the end but after that ..... unless your giving away the top prize for redo's a million times they wont do it.
I'm old school, one of the die hard ladys who started UO and cut my teeth on the game. UO has changed for the good and at times for the bad and I am still here. But for how long.... I dont jump hoops Dev.
