Dumb TC1 House Placement Question

At the risk of missing a totally obvious reason ....

When I first went tio TC1 recently I noticed more House foundations were placed than actual houses.

Ok ....

They wiped TC1 and again House Foundations are being placed.

Why are these things being placed?

Why are they allowed to be left there for prolonged periods of time with nothing being done to them?

I don't think people are really selling and buying houses on TC1 are they? I mean would someone really pay Real Life currency for a House on TC1?

Is it simply nothing more than inconsiderate people testing to see if they could / can place a certain style house at a certain spot and then being so totally inconsiderate and not demolishing the placed foundation? If so I wonder if it ever croses their brain cell that maybe others may want to .... *Gasp* Test house placement as well?

I, for one, place, because I love designing houses. Mines outside luna, named funk 49 owned by dude.

I then copy em and I have used them in game....my current home was deisigned on test.

I never had a problem placing on test, if you need to run wayyyyyy east of luna.....just set your character to mark a rune.

No I do the same thing. I have the same two houses on TC1 as I do on LA in the same spot. They are not 100% design copies ... but I do as you do. I test/model how I want them etc. I do actually use them on TC1 as I do test play styles, character templates and how to do things on TC1 first.

I am asking about the Foundation only placements that were the majority of house placements on TC1 previously and I suspect will be again.

It is not that there is a shortage of house placement spots, but it would seem obvious that if people went to TC1, plopped down a foundation and said Yup it fits. Go to their live shard and place the house, never return to TC1, that TC1 house placement becomes 1 spot less that it was. Given all the shards, that placement may prevent N number of players from doing the exact same thing ... with minor variations in size/style/location (example oh that 8x8 you left is where I would like to test place a 18x18)

TC 1 was just wiped the other day, and a lot of people were testing the changes to house placement on it. Changing size, etc. I'm sure the plots will change to house designs over the next few days. Others are testing other aspects of the game so place a house plot to store stuff, but never bother putting up walls, etc. And no, no one is selling plots on Test.

Thanks for that information. I suppose it should have been obvious given the rules for loading up the contents of a house but for some reason I did not connect the dots to have the Light Bulb go on.

Tis a shame though with the ability to make truly wondrously looking houses that some choose to live out of a foundation.

I have walked around on most of the shards getting a feel for what is being done with the customized houses and there are some extremely talented individuals out there.

*Shrug* To me the foundations are just an exclamation mark on NOT Role Playing. BUT to each their own and far be it from me seek change in other peoples play style, least some day it be my turn to be in the barrel.

I am going to probably be demolishing the Castle I placed as I mistakenly thought they could be converted to the customized format.

The Keep was always a waste of space and the Castle (stores aside (and I am no pack rat)) just doesn't offer anything (to me) over the 3 story 18x18.
