Dull Copper Hammers changed?

I have recently come across a couple forum posts around the web that suggested that some older (actually created several years ago and simply in storage since then) Dull Copper hammers were applying 2 properties most of the time, and occasionally a third.

Any truth to this? I'd like to know as I have a few from back when I had the patience to do BODs, but I don't want to burn charges trying to find out.

Edit: I should add that I no longer have a smith, so testing them myself would be foolish.

I am not sure but they have changed how the hammers work. There is now a chance that any or all of the properties are 100%. If you do enough dc hammers then you will get some that have 3 X 100% properties. I have not heard or noticed a difference with old hammers verses new ones.

Is that including NOT having a -1 Faster Casting on a Spell-channeling weapon (seen as a property?), or do you mean something like HCI 15%, DCI 15% and 100% Fire damage all from the runic bonus? The later is what I meant, but shouldn't be possible according to the bonus charts--a Dull Copper Hammer should only have at max 2 properties, but both at 100% intensity.

To rephrase, my question is this--Is the chart wrong, and Dull Copper Hammers are actually giving up to 3x 100% properties, NOT including the "No FC penalty" property?

Edit: If so, I can only assume that people are jumping to the conclusion that old hammers are somehow responsible for their good fortune when they encounter 3x properties.

Sorry if I was unclear.

Elemental damage is no longer considered to be a Runic "Property" - it is gained as a BONUS. It's been this way since SA was released, or maybe a little after.

If Elemental damage is rolled, it doesn't count as one of the runic properties, and so the game rolls for a Runic property again after applying it.

It has nothing to do with the age of the hammer.

It doesn't count as a property on loot, either - but the system still treats it as a property, for determining the number of properties on the item (just not for imbuing).

So, ANY Runic Hammer can produce its listed number of properties on an item, PLUS elemental damage, plus the DI for being exceptional.

Trivia: Elemental damage, be it 100% in one, or just 10% elemental with 90% physical, was always treated in the game as a 100% intensity, in that it was a Boolean property - it was either present or wasn't.

At no time did runic tool intensity have ANY bearing on the value of the elemental damage; instead it was just rolled random, starting with the first possible type (at some value 0-100%, in steps of 10), then the other three in order. This is why, as long as elemental weapons existed, any runic hammer could create a 100% weapon in one elemental damage, even when DC hammers topped out well below 50% intensity.

As usual I screwed up it is 2 properties at 100% and damage modifiers up to 100%
