You'd make the most gold from farming succubi in the dojo. Use the room that has a single succubus and a ronin in it. Lure the ronin out, farm succubi, make lots of gold.

Farm the goblins and other baddies in SA man. Don't bother looting the bastards just loot the special materials they drop. Unless there is another sampire down there you wont have any trouble keeping the spawns to yourself.


Make tons of money that way.

Yeah, no resist is needed against succubi. If you feel really daring down the line, try taking on the paragon version in blood dungeon.

Anyone use enhanced client? I was down there doing Gobbos in SA the other day but there were so damn many at once I was finding it impossible to stop and loot. And this was with a Mysticist helping out with his colossus. Just wondering if there's an easier way to loot gold and special imbuing items than double clicking on each corpse..

There's no auto loot or anything like an easy button in EC.

Just Make sure you set your options for Object handles from "all" to "corpses" and then whenever you hit CTR+SHIFT, you only see the corpses.
This way you don't have to click the piles of bodies, you click the object handles and you don't see other junk, just corpse object handles.

Also, have it in grid view so it's easier to spot the ingredients and gold.
You still have to loot each and every one, but at least you can one-click the pile of gold and one-click the ingredient instead of dragging them. It is easier than legacy client for me.

Ok so actually back to topic. I was gonna post this very subject a day or two ago but hadn't gotten around to it so thanks for reading my mind and doing it for me! Us undead gotta stick together.

Anyway so here's my Sampire's status:

I can roll into a spawn, kill it til its level 3, but then it slows WAY down as the addition of casters happens. They just nuke the living snot out of me and it hurts mommy, make it stop.

Spawns I've tried solo are Scorp/Spider, Rikktor, haven't really tried Barracoon but I'm sure it'd be easier. I stay away from Imp because it's got casters right off the bat. Even with an undead slayer the first level of undead spawns can get me if I'm not super careful.

I dropped Parry to add resist, I'll take it as far as my template allows - maybe 80-100.

So what are some recommendations to help me get through the mage casting spawns? Resists are ok. 70/60/69/60/70 or something like that. I autocure poison as a vamp which is helpful. I have healing.

Also what else can I try - what are the "easiest" peerless or other things I should begin cutting my teeth on?

I enjoy the spawn at the Shrine of Isamu in Tokuno. It is lizardmen and beetle hatchlings at 1st level, then kappas and beetles at 2nd. Those are pretty easy for a sampire with whirlwind. (Reptile slayer and beetle slayer talisman also help move it along quickly). Then the 3rd level is lesser hiryus and revenant lions. I am still learning how to do this solo, and have never made it past there on my own. But it's pretty fun still, and a good place to raise skills like swords and parry. And you don't have to worry about raids because is is Trammel ruleset.

So what are some recommendations to help me get through the mage casting spawns?

Ease into them from the outside of the spawn area. As you clear one spot move on to the next, making sure to backtrack and kill anything that has spawned behind you in previously cleared areas. Don't try to whirlwind your way through the casters, it'll only get you killed. Make sure to keep the area around the altar cleared so when the boss spawns you don't have to deal with other spawn. Try using Healing instead of Resist against non-Necro casters.

I did this a few years ago back before the evasion nerf.

now i think i have to re-jig things and get a new stratagy...

Some new items would help too, but they're in short supply on my home shard...
