Dragon Scale Armor art: Old vs New

I like most of the updates, just wish the new dragon scale helm didnt look so much like how I imagined a Daemon helm might look like, I preferred the old dragon helm better. Here's a pic of it:

Helm
Breastplate

The breastplate also looks better with the winged shoulders. I couldnt find a pic of the old full suit of dragon scale armor in a paperdoll, and no in-game art either (the in-game art looked the best in full suit). Anyone else have any??

I was hoping the new breastplate might have better shoulders like the old, and the helm to have horns sticking straight back, fan-like, not so much like the curved daemon horns that we now have.

Anyone else agree??

If I recall correctly every piece of the old dragon armor had the same Art as plate, Except for the helmet, using the same art as a Closed Helm.

Edit : I should have specified : This was from the Classic Client.

What i do miss is a pair of boots that match the suit. :)

I agree. I have always felt the version you posted was the best looking. Wish they would return to it.

I always thought the older version had more of a "dragon" look to it.... what I never understood is why it looks more like Orc than dragon... it's supposed to be made of scales.... I think you should see them more.

Just saying.

I like how the Dragon Armor looks, just wish we could craft it like normal armor, and re-forge it.

you can reforge the stuff from the bane invasion, if I remember correctly, been a while since I tested it.

Here's a pic from an older client, I think it was the Third Dawn client??? But it shows the dragon armor that I liked best, especially the helm:

Here's the website, its actually found on UO.com website, I googled dragon armor and this came up under images, as I remember, this was the look that I remembered. Wish they couldve used this helm art in the new stuff. It was last modified on April 5th, 2002.

Where is there info that the devs are redesigning this armor set?

They are not redesigning it, they already did for the KR client, these images were from before, in 2002. Like CovenantX said, the old dragon armor in the original client looked like plate armor with a closed helm, but they were redesigning it for the UO 3rd Dawn client. Those are the 3D-ish images of the new dragon armor back in 2002. The top pics were what the armor looked like in your back. I have no idea why they came up with a totally new design when the 3rd Dawn stuff looked so good.

The old dragon scale armour looked fantastic, though it is mostly the helm I dislike on the new one. I also wish dragonscale armour had some properties that made it unique like I'm sure it used it. It has been quite a while.

As part of the supposed Armor Revamp coming up, they need to give Dragon Armor an Eater property corresponding to it's type, for free, without using up an imbue slot/intensity. Make it like it was when it was first introduced (minus the drawbacks).
Black Dragon Armor gets 6% Kinetic Eater per piece (Total of 30% with all 5 pieces), White Dragon Armor gets 6% Cold Eater per piece, Red Dragon Armor gets 6% Fire Eater per piece, Sea Serpent Scale Armor gets 6% Energy Eater per piece, Green Dragon Armor gets 6% Poison Eater per piece, and Yellow Dragon Armor get's maybe 3% Damage Eater per piece?
I'd love to see an Artifact Dragon Helm that allows you to breathe fire when you attack an opponent, like the Reptalon Form for Ninjas (With the Talisman of the Reptalon) does.

I am certain the pre-AoS dragon scale had some elemental properties. Also you could med in it, I definitely remember that. I would love to see it regain it's special properties or something similar. Right now it just seems so... wasted.
