Dragon Armor

So, while talking about the Trade Deal quest rewards, we somehow got onto the subject of Dragon Armor, and how it needs to be buffed. Currently, all Scales but Yellow give +11 total resists, while Valorite gives +17 total resist and +50% Durability. Dragon Armor is harder to craft than any other armor, and requires a harder to get resource to make, plus it can't be recycled.

Personally, i think Dragon Armor should come with some extra bonuses, such as each piece of Dragon Armor increases your Resist cap by 1% according to Scale color. Like wearing a piece of Black Dragon Armor would raise your Physical Resist cap by 1%, so 71%, and wearing all 5 pieces of Black Dragon Armor would give you a Physical Resist cap of 75.
Or maybe restore some of the old Pre-AoS functionality of Dragon Armor, by giving Dragon Armor innate Eater property according to Scale color.

@Kyronix Can you devs please make Dragon Scales at least equivalent to Valorite in terms of total Resists? Some of us would love to use Dragon Armor because of it's aesthetics, but the Resist difference puts us off from it. The upcoming Dragon Turtle Armor seems very similar in concept, so can you rebalance Dragon Armor's Resists while you're at it? I also wouldn't mind seeing Dragon Armor pop up in loot tables.

Dragon armor should either be revamped to have some sort of benefit... anything to justify it's difficulty to work etc... perhaps it ought to get 30 more imbuing points or something...

Make it worth while to work with.

Agree give it resist like on colored metal and add one nice mod for each kind like wood do have. Add mods to colored metal too.
Woodland Armor doesn't get Stamina Protection nor innate LMC though, because it gets extra mods.
Adding innate "Eater" property to Dragon Armor though would certainly make sense, and would somewhat revive it's old function. Dragon Armor used to make you more resistant to certain spells, while making you weaker to others dependant on the Scale color. For example, Red Dragon Armor would make you take less damage from fire based spells such as Magic Arrow, Fireball, Explosion and Flamestrike, but make you take more damage from Poison.

Yes but now, we all run in 5x70 resist and max imbued
Would be nice with some mods, you can't imbue and an options on crafting menu, "do not add mods", if you only want the resist/damage

I agree should have a change but there is so many other things that need to be fixed. this may Not be a priority.

Along with what PlayerSkillFTW has stated, I'd like to see craftable dragon shields and certain types of weapons. I'd love to go hunting in Destard with a dragon lance (long spear) that starts out with a 'free' dragon slayer mod when crafted. It would naturally require dragon scales to craft along with a metal of choice.

Lol, that's basically what the Dragon Hide Shield (http://www.uoguide.com/Dragon_Hide_Shield) and The Dragon Slayer (http://www.uoguide.com/The_Dragon_Slayer) are. Dragon's End (http://www.uoguide.com/Dragon's_End) is another dedicated Dragon Slayer wep.

My Fencer has a Spear with 100% Cold Damage and 50% DI/30% SSI/Dragon Slayer/50% HML/50% HSL, that i named with a Weapon Engraving Tool to "Wyrm Spitter", after http://www.zimlab.com/wizardry/recovered/flamestryke/mm8/items8/special8/wyrmspitter.html

This was all yelled in their face 5000 times over the course of the Publish 81 armor changes. They buffed dragon armor a little, but not enough that it's actually viable. At this point one can only conclude that they want it to suck exactly this much.

Talked to Kyronix on TC1, and he said that hopefully they can get it changed in a future publish.
