Trust me, it is a server problem and Faenwen is not the only one who is experiencing these issues.Drachenfels' fine.
I've just recalled, used a moongate and logged out and in again, no problems.
Are you using EC?

I'm on DF almost 24/7 and I've only experienced a few "Connection Lost"s this week and had no problems logging back in.
I haven't noticed any lag or had any problems with recall.
I suggest you run a trace and poll to see if there's a bottleneck somewhere in the route. Paste it here between 'code' tags.

You cast recall. You target your rune. Nothing happens. You can walk around, you can ride your horse, you can open your bank box.
But you can't recall to another subserver.
That got nothing to do with a trace route. Nothing, just nothing.
It usually lasts 10-30 minutes.

When it's over, you suddenly appear at your recall target location! 15 minutes after you had cast recall!
