Is it possible for a tamer to solo doom, gauntlet and the DF? if so what temp and what pet(s) work best for it? any input is greatly appreciated! =)

yes

110 taming and lore for greater dragon

vet and magery for heals and self defense if needed

optional

provocation and music for dark father (can provoke the undead on him)

im sure there is a better way, but i think this should do just fine because with enough vet and magery your greater dragon should last forever against all the doom bosses

o yea forgot chivalry!

one of the bosses uses mortal strike, so remove curse is nifty

Any pet with enough hp and resist to live long enough to throw down an aid should be able to do it

You might even be able to do it with a GAMAN!

gamans have 150 hp and good resists!

basically, one vet + greater heal will do about 200 damage i think >.> no source....

so any pet that takes less than 100 damage per second should be fine

greaters and hiryus work well because of their high wrestle which decreases their chance to be hit

cues will probly work too, and you can log while riding them, meaning you can stay in doom longer

probly cue hiryu greater dragon wyrm and even bake maybe can solo doom if your are a good healer

Best choice: Greater dragon
Second choice: hiryu
Cu I've heard is possible, but I haven't done it.

With provoke it's all pretty easy.
Without provoke, you'd better be a good bone cutter and a lucky healer. The Dark Fathers alone aren't too terribly hard, but the lack of meditation will kill you. Add in Lich Lords and rotting corpses on your dragon (or hiryu or cu) and it's big trouble.

The template I did it on was magery/med/spellweaving/taming/lore/vet. I'd love to try again with 120 music/provoke, 110 taming/lore/magery, 90 vet 70 med (extra points from jewels).

Doom can be a pancake for tamers if you don't have Provo or Peace.

Keeping your pet healed in the spawn generated by the DarkFathers is almost impossible...even in a group.

Granted, you can always rez your pet as it dies (assuming you have vet)...but doing Doom alone, as a tamer, is not as easy as some make it sound.

Maybe there is a trick to it I don't know or something.

How I did it the one time:
Rooms 1-4: set dragon on opponent, heal with magic when appropriate, bandages when appropriate. Hope that certain rooms don't constantly spam mortal strike (chivalry is nice to have too)
Dark Father: control-shift, heal with magic, control shift, cut bones, heal with magic, control shift, heal with magic, notice that I'm losing, rush in and heal with bandages and magic while control shifting, die to a wither/retarget combo, res self, res dragon, repeat control shift/heal with magic/cut bones process until I need to run in and heal with bandages. This time remember to invis myself when the DF retargets. Pull dragon away in hopes of reducing damage while I heal it up/regenerate mana.

I think die again happened 2 or 3 times. With practice, death could be less frequent, which would save a lot of time in the long run. But since it took me over an hour to kill one Dark Father, I dubbed it not worth it for my tamer (sampire at the time was easier and faster) and said, "I did it, I'm not doing it again."

It was pretty rough trying to cut bones and heal my dragon and watch my mana at the same time, but when I tried it without cutting bones, even stuck in a corner it was too difficult for me alone. With two people, it suddenly becomes a lot easier.

DF is the hardest part for a tamer in Doom.

The bosses you can solo just fine w/a number of pet combos or solo pets as long as you're healing properly and paying attention.

The DF sucks solo with a tamer as you've got to deal w/all the bones. It's hard to sit next to it and vet due to the wither spell, targetting you and killing you. And when all of the bones turn into creatures, you need a way to kill them, otherwise they damage your pet even more.

Best way to solo Doom would be a tamer for the rooms, sampire for the DF. Have both characters logged there for when you wanna chain Doom =)

You could do sampire through all the rooms, but then you gotta leave Doom more often for armor repairs.
