How I did it the one time:
Rooms 1-4: set dragon on opponent, heal with magic when appropriate, bandages when appropriate. Hope that certain rooms don't constantly spam mortal strike (chivalry is nice to have too)
Dark Father: control-shift, heal with magic, control shift, cut bones, heal with magic, control shift, heal with magic, notice that I'm losing, rush in and heal with bandages and magic while control shifting, die to a wither/retarget combo, res self, res dragon, repeat control shift/heal with magic/cut bones process until I need to run in and heal with bandages. This time remember to invis myself when the DF retargets. Pull dragon away in hopes of reducing damage while I heal it up/regenerate mana.
I think die again happened 2 or 3 times. With practice, death could be less frequent, which would save a lot of time in the long run. But since it took me over an hour to kill one Dark Father, I dubbed it not worth it for my tamer (sampire at the time was easier and faster) and said, "I did it, I'm not doing it again."
It was pretty rough trying to cut bones and heal my dragon and watch my mana at the same time, but when I tried it without cutting bones, even stuck in a corner it was too difficult for me alone. With two people, it suddenly becomes a lot easier.
