Don't Go Above GM!!!!!!!!!

If you learn anything from Poo or anyone else....Don't go above gm music while you're training up discord!!! I learned the hard way over half way through this. I accidentally tested this theory. I was at 115 for days and then read about not going above gm and then I dropped it to 100 music and now I'm gaining like mad!!

ya, i should probablly bold type face that in my post.
and add some color too it.

i get the impression from all the PMs and ICQs that i get that a lot of people dont believe us when we say that, not to go above GM.

ah well.
all we can do is tell them and hope they listen.

ok i saw this post the day I hit gm bought a 110 scroll and now am 100.1 will that lousy 1 tenth still slow me down my overall stats are still low so cant just set it to go down immediatly

If you've reached the skill cap, just as simple to lose that .1

There is another point of importance when working on skills, which is to eat powerscrolls at the right time. I was amazed at how faster I gained in peacekeeping when at 93 I ate a 110 powerscroll. The closer you get to your cap, the slower the skill will rise.

Something is still bothering me tho : when at 104 I ate a 120 ps, I didn't experience any gains boost that I could notice. Should I have waited to cap at 120? What would have happened if I'd eaten the 120 scroll when at 93 skill? ...

im nowhere near the cap only around 550 total so wont be ableto drop for a while

Just go buy a bunch of junk skills to reach your cap, then you can lose that tenth. Plus, if you have a soulstone, you can drop the junk right after you're finished (might work with a soulstone fragment, too?).

ya thats what i do with new toons so i can max out my STAT points right away.
i go to haven and buy up all skills till im maxed at 720.

then i lock everything and put one skill up (like arms lore) but have nothing set down.
then i toggle the skill for like a hour.
max out STR.

same with int and dex.
just use different skills.

and no, the .1 im music wont hurt ya.

and yes.
eating scrolls will allways make you gain faster at lower rates.
unfortunatlly the gain calculator is set to make ALL skills gain slow over GM.
so you will only gain faster below GM.
but still, faster is faster!
