Still does for me try recasting it. If that doesnt work id suggest calling a gm and asking if they can refreash your char and see if it fixes it beyond that im at a loss

Situation might help people explain your problem.
Works most the time yes but a few things in game can still cause interupt like dryads.

also the mana sucking spells that are cast on you will also inturrupt your spell protection or not.

As will paralyze (you will fizzle if you get para'd in the midst of casting) and it doesnt work for Spirit Speak.

It could be that I am getting para'd while poisoned and it just seems like a poison interrupt, then the poison tick is releasing me from thew para.
