Does Lumberjacking Still Add a Damage Bonus to Axe Attacks?

I've been away for quite a while, so this may have changed. Last I heard, GM Lumberjacking added about a 30% damage bonus to attacks using an Axe-type weapon.

Please give me a run-down of what lumberjacking adds to combat.

Lumberjacks receive a Damage Increase when they wield certain weapons. The formula is Lumberjack skill ÷ 5 (plus 10% if Lumberjacking is equal to or greater than 100).

Yeah, unfortunately stratics is a bit outdated, though I know they do the best they can. UOguide.com - at least for the time being - seems to be a better source for up-to-date skils/training info. Stratics is good for calculators and its hunter's guide, though.

It's like 10% I think now.. Not worth squat.
Agreed. Lumberjacking is a waste of 100 skill points. Keep the skill on a mule or crafter-type of character and put a more useful skill in it's place.

It is easy to cap out on the PvM cap for damage.

How can it be greater then 100? Mels croaded hatchet?
lol, no idea. Not even mel's hatchet can't take you over 100. I was quoting straight from uoguide - maybe just poor choice of words.

Oh, and I also agree that the di afforded by lumberjacking is not worth 100 skill points.

i think it would be cool if they made so that if you have lj you can use axes just as if they were swords with 100 skill

Then you would be only relegated to using axes. Not so great considering how many different swordsmanship weapons there are.

thats kinda the point it would not replace swords but make lj template better

I support letting 100 LJ act as a gm swordsmen with Axes, the 10% is negligable, but crafters need to be more viable in terms of defence, mule templates are getting long.

That is just the bonus for if you are at GM skill level. For each 10 point increment you will get a 2% bonus.
