Publish 25 introduced the Double Mana Cost for Special Moves. If one repeats as second special move within 3 seconds the mana cost would be double.

This was put into place before damage caps and dps adjustments on weapons.
It also was put in prior before the Mana leech adjustments which were put in place in Publish 42. Till then a successful hit with a mana leech weapon would restore 40% mana per hit.
