Do we play?

With all this talk of duping and reverts it has me worried to even play. Do I risk the potential loss of items, skills, and placed houses? If they do revert what happens to my transferred char or my cross shard trade deals? Just freaking out over nothing or do I just not play until we know?

I seriously doubt there will be a revert - but you never know...

Well if you want get technical all of your pixel crack and even you skills are property of EA. So if there is a revert you didn't lose anything. In fact if there is a revert you still gained hours of fun you wouldn't have had if you didn't play.

I play for fun of course, the transactions of "pixel crack" are an added bonus. I was just curious about the potential loss I could face is all. I did a server transfer off atl a couple days ago and an atl gold for siege item trade last night, those are what I am concerned about mostly. One would cost me real money one would just be inconvenient. Anyways, back to playing...sorry if I came across as greedy, I was more curious than anything.

I'm not sure what you're asking, really.

Technically there's always the risk of a revert or a crash or a data loss or something.

I read in another thread that people were talking about a revert on Atlantic due to what appears to have been a duping of Mythic Character Tokens, and/or an uncovering of a dupe of those items, or so forth. Insert random uncovering of something nefarious here.

I don't see why you wouldn't play as normal and just stay away from stuff you feel suspicious of.

Please remember that random players talking about something is just that. If they prove right it'll just be coincidental, though of course they will not describe it that way.

I hopethey won't revert as it would hurt Siege badly. We have got so many new players the last 2 months and they are working hard to get skills up. Losing skills, PS, gold, resources may make them give up trying again. Even when it's very sad to see Siege got hit of this many mystic tokens, that is so cheap, that they can't be legal, this together with the new house rules, have giving Siege alot new players and the shard is fun again.

In my opinion, the worst people in UO are the people who deny there is cheating in PvP. Then after that are the people who speed hack, and use other third party programs to get an advantage since EA does not police against data stream manipulation (or at least not regularly). After that, it's the dupers. Then the AFK scripters who camp areas for resources. Then the AFK macroers who just lodge something in the key. Then everyone other than me. Then me. Then the dinosaurs for becoming instinct. Then the solar system for producing only one life bearing planet (that we know of, and, pending further evidence of life on Mars). Then Morgan Freeman (the actor, not the player...unless he plays, in which case let me edit out the name to avoid this whole thing sounding like a rant). Then science. Then Stratics for being so addictive. Then sleep for never coming.

One last thing before I get to sleep, for those still worried about some of the recent game reviews ;P...

Great thing about Siege, though, is primarily everything will remain on Siege. If there are an unusual amount of tokens, EA should actually be able to track--if they wanted to--which accounts should have them and which shouldn't. Harder when you have transfers to mix things up.
