Do red players not get a gift?

Just curious, because I logged on my red earlier today, I received a gift... Then I logged back on him after the server up/down and it is gone. Was this intended?

I have not played him at ALL today...

Which shard is your character on and is it possible that the time you logged on and received the ticket was shortly before the servers went down for the emergency publish?

I logged on early this morning (9 am EST) saw that I had a gift and left it there...

Logged back on at around (10 pm EST) and saw that it was gone... no where to be found.

NEVERMIND, I logged back in and it showed up... weird...
