Do Quivers of Infiniti on non-archer toons give DCI bonus?

I've always wonderd if these quivers give the 5% dci bonus if you don't have archery. I know people have checked in KR and they do not. Some people say you have to have an arrow in them.

So whats the real deal?

If they are worthless on non-archer toons, I'm going with Melissas' cloak.

Intensity Range: 1 - 15
Maximum Attainable: 45
Found On: Weapons, Shields, Jewelry

Defense Chance Increase increases your final chance to dodge your opponents blows.

If you before Defense Chance Increase is applied have 50% chance to dodge, with 20% Defense Chance Increase you will have 60% chance to dodge.

Defense Chance Increase is capped at 45%.
and
Defense Chance Increase (DCI) enhances your ability to defend yourself from melee or ranged attacks. It does not effect your chance to evade magical attacks.

It can be found naturally on weapons, shields and jewelry. It ranges in intensity from 1 to 15%. There is a cap of 45%.

DCI works in addition to your chance to parry, or block an attack by using the Parrying skill.
so i would think yes! conner is the go to person for me on stuff like this unless if dont agree then i test it and 9/10 times he is right

Without a weapon skill i dont think it matters...just like sdi with no eval.

mages with a spellbook in their hand without wrestling don't get the benefit.
equipping a boomstick without macing wont help.

mage weapon with magery will though i think. swords of prosperity and 120 magery with a quiver and armor of fortune will help a lot.

As I understand it, DCI would still provide some measure of defense even if you don't have a high weapon skill... At least, that's what the formula given on the stratics mainpage states.

This part is all wrong... it does show in KR with the +5% DCI bonus, with OR without arrows in the quiver, with OR without having a weapon equipped on a mage.

Check it our for yourself... I just did.

Since you have it on, might as well put some arrows or bolts in it even if your not an archer. Never fails, halfway through something and someone runs out of ammo.

DCI does go up on anyone. Perhaps your friend is at 45 already and another +5 does not show. It doesn't show an amount over the cap.
